Workout for Life Coaching

As well as providing down to earth and accessible advice on exercise and healthy eating, Workout for Life offers affordable Life Coaching for any other areas of your life.

It is no coincidence that Life Coaching has its roots in the world of sport and fitness training.

To succeed in sport or in personal fitness you will achieve your goals more effectively and more speedily if you have a trainer or sports coach.

Personal trainers help their clients to plan their course, set their goals, maintain their vision and stay motivated.

A Life Coach will do the same for any other area of your life you may want to work on.

Why does a person hire a Life Coach?

Life Coaching is all about change and transformation. It's about re-inventing or re-discovering yourself.

People decide to make changes to their lives for a variety of reasons, not necessarily because they have a problem.

Both negative and life affirming events may initiate the desire to create lasting change in our lives. More often though it's just the fact that we know we need to move on and develop in some way.

You may want to make changes to your career, your relationships, your health and fitness. You may want to be more effective in your job, get a promotion, get better balance in your life, be more assertive, be a better parent or partner. Or you may want to find a way of fulfilling a long held dream.

Whatever it is you want out of life there are times when a Life Coach can help you get there faster and more effectively.

Life Coaches are not necessarily experts in any particular area but many of them have an area of expertise from a previous career or one they are currently following at the same time as coaching.

The real expertise of the Life Coach is in the coaching process itself.

A Life Coach will:

  • Help us to work out what it is we really want.
  • Challenge our assumptions about our own capabilities.
  • Help us to think laterally.
  • Challenge us to set achievable goals.
  • Help us to devise a flexible plan which will get us where we want to be.
  • Help us to monitor our progress and change direction if necessary.
  • Keep us on track.
  • Expect more of us than we might of ourselves.

Life Coaching is not therapy or counselling. It cannot help with clinical issues such as high levels of anxiety or depression.

If you work with a Life Coach you will not be spending time unravelling the past. Whilst acknowledging the past and its effects, coaching concentrates on the future. It looks for solutions rather than analysing problems.

It's great to dream but in order to turn our dreams into reality we need to do more than just dream.

We need goals and a plan to help us to achieve them. Transformation is rooted in purposeful, deliberate and continuous action.

Hire me as your Life Coach and I will be your ally, your collaborator and your champion!
